Data collection from structural components & systems

- Learn/Review different modeling techniques (physics-based & data-driven)
- Conduct laboratory experiments (test methods, instrumentation, data acquisition, control, … etc.) for different damage states (from service to ultimate)
- Conduct field tests for structural health monitoring
Data analytics using classical & modern tools

- Uncertainty qualification
- Uncertainty propagation through performance-based engineering framework
- Machine & deep learning
Additional themes:

- Learn about holistic design approaches (resiliency & sustainability)
- Learn about optimization (e.g. linear programming) & multi-criteria decision-making techniques including lifecycle analysis
